Q: Why slings?
Slings are recommended by many experts as the healthiest type of an infant carrier. This has been proven many times by paediatricians and by chiropractors. It is worth noticing that slings are not modern day’s invention. They have existed in different civilizations throughout human history, as they do today; it is just that science and materials we use today help in designing much more optimal types of carriers.
In a nut-shell, 100Knots® Ring Sling:
Encourages positive growth of babies
Reduces premature infant mortality
Soothes crying and colic at infants
Encourages early mental development
Reduces incidence of post-partum depression.
Q: I already have front carrier. Why do I need 100Knots Ring Sling?
Front carriers are certainly not providing an ideal position for a newborn baby. Frontal position puts too much pressure on newborns with their developing spine and hips, which can result in hip dysplasia. Front carriers can be used for babies up to 25 pounds (12 kilos). They are simply not a long lasting solution; some babies will outgrow front pack long before the first birthday. Front carriers are not breast feeding friendly. They are uncomfortable, often digging into your shoulders, making it impossible to carry the baby for longer period of time.
On another hand, 100Knots® Ring Sling distributes the weight evenly across the whole back, without pulling your shoulders. Inside our 100Knots® Ring Slings your newborn baby relaxes in natural foetal position. At the same time being able to comfortably sleep and feed while being soothed by the familiar sound of your heart beat, scent, movement and voice. you can use 100Knots® Ring Sing immediately after giving birth all the way up to the age of five. 100Knots® Ring Sling features a pocket on the front side, making it multi purpose: acting purse and a baby sling. In addition to that 100Knots® baby sling features open tail design, allowing discreet breastfeeding anytime, anywhere.
Q: Are 100Knots Ring Slings safe?
100Knots® Baby Slings are perfectly safe because of the way we make them, of our garment and accessories design experience, and of our strong safety and garment testing background. 100Knots® uses only the strongest and the finest 100% cotton drill fabrics. We also use only the strongest nylon polymer rings which will NEVER break, fall apart or become brittle. Our slings are independently tested for up to 250 kilos weight; your piece of mind is assured, so you never have to worry about safety of our slings. By using slings correctly, your baby is perfectly safe with 100Knots®.
Q: Will the fabric slip out of rings?
100Knots® Ring Slings are made of sturdy fabric which will never slip out of rings. Once you get the 100Knots® sling in place, the fabric will lock itself into the rings and will not move until you want it to move. Slings are weight tested, and there is no slippage that can be detected on fabric whatsoever.
Q: Will 100Knots Ring Sling hurt my back?
As long as you put the baby in the correct position 100Knots® slings will never hurt your back. In fact, 100Knots® Baby Slings are much safer for your back than carrying a baby on your hip, or carrying a bulky baby capsule around!
Q: What is the maximum carrying weight?
Our officially recommended carrying weight limit is 15 kilos, although 100Knots® Ring Sling can carry much more. Pease note that while ring sling is strong enough to carry an older child, carrying child heavier than 15 kilos will usually be a bit too much for an average wearer. However, we have some mums of disabled children carrying their children in our slings up to the age of six.
Q: Will my baby like 100Knots Ring Sling?
We have hundreds of happy costumers to confirm how much their babies love 100Knots® Ring Sling. Just turn around when you go for a walk and there is a big chance that you will see a happy parent with a 100Knots® baby sling. Most children love the sling because it emulates the womb. Sling allows babies to curl up and be as they were in the womb, therefore providing comfort and security. It is true some children are not thrilled with the sling at first. This is most likely because they are not carried in the correct position. Make sure that baby is not squished in the sling (chin to chest too close)*. Babies tend to love the sling even more once when they are up right and can see the surroundings.
Q: My baby hates the sling. What can I do?
Get moving! Put the sling on, and do something around the house, or go for a walk. Just believe in yourself and be confident. Babies can often sense your lack of confidence which makes them feel insecure too. Some babies don’t like cradle hold, so try the newborn snuggle hold instead. Try again later when you are both well rested and fed. Trust us, your baby will fall in love with 100Knos Ring Sling in no time.
Q: Can I nurse in 100Knots Ring Sling?
Sure. With a little practice you can nurse baby anytime and anywhere, even hands free. Open tail of 100Knots® Ring Sling makes a great privacy shield (as well as a sun cover) for nursing.

Q: When is recommended to start/end for baby wearing?
You can use the 100Knots® Ring Sling from the day one until approximately 4-5 years of age. Please note that sling is strong enough to wear an older child, but a child that weights more that 15 kilos would usually be a bit too heavy for an average wearer. However, we have some mums with disabled children carrying their children in the sling up to the age of six in our 100Knots® Ring Slings.
